Gotta Pixel's challenge was to recreate our first uploaded layout...here is my take on it.

Tangie Baxter's challenge was that we had to use 3 things altered or arty. We also had to journal about something significant. Here is mine:

I guess I can post a bit about myself too...my name is Heather. I have been married for 7 years although sometimes it seems like 70 and others it seems like only yesterday. We have 3 crazy kiddos. Madelynn is 6, Benson (or Benzilla as we affectionately call him) 3, and my baby Elijah 2. Yeah I know 2 really isn't a baby, but he is such a mamma's boy he will always be my baby!

So without further hoopla here is my first layout for the ASDR! I chose to use a pic of Maddy during one of her soccer games. Notice that there isn't any other kids next to her. Well, I don't mean to brag but that's because she leaves them in the dust. She totally rocks it!

I thought I'd pop in quickly and introduce myself! I am a 26 year old mommy of two girls and one boy! I have been happily married to my wonderful husband Kevin for 3.5 years and we have been together for 6.5 years. We hail from southern Ontario, Canada. I have been digi-scrapping for about a year now, and am on 5 CT's! My life has been c-r-a-z-y since my son Brody was born in November, plus adding a 2 year old tomboy that never stops and an almost 8 year old diva extraodinaire in the mix!

Anywho...enough rambling LOL! I have finished my layout for the first challenge...YIPPEE!!!!! It is featuring my oldest daughter Emma, it took me a long time and is really heartfelt and I am really happy with it!

Updating the look

So I found a really cool tutorial for changing the background of your blog. I played with my friend Kelly's kit that she did with Amanda Kay, and this is what I have so far. I plan on making a header too. But I figure it's not so bad for a first timer.

Nothing like waiting till the last minute

Okay so maybe it wasn't the LAST minute...we still have 4 days to register for the Amazing Digi Scrap Race. But still cutting it pretty close.
